(1) Why I am not able to see your site?
Our site always available for all the days. In case if you find these kind of problems
Kindly follow the steps
Step 1: Go to Tools Menu
Step 2: Select Internet Options...
Step 3: Under General Tab you will find "Delete Files..." button
     click on it You will be prompted with a small popup window,
     check the check box and then click ok.
Step 4: Under General Tab you will find "Clear History..." button
     click on it You will be prompted with a small popup window, and then click ok.
After completing this process, you can see our website.

(2) I have downloaded the fonts. Why am I unable to view the webpages in Tamil?
Confirm that you have downloaded and installed the Tamil font given under the link
"Download the Fonts and Software" in the index page. If you downloaded and installed
the font under c:\windows\fonts\ directory and do the following:

Click Tools -> Internet options -> Fonts -> set Language script as "User

defined" -> set Web page font as "Latha" -> click "Ok" -> and Ok.

For Internet Explorer, please set the encoding to User Defined
(click View->Encoding->User Defined from the browser menu)

For Netscape, please set the encoding to User-Defined
(click View->Character Set ->User-Defined from the browser menu)

(3) Can I view TVU's web pages using other TAB fonts?
Yes, You can use other TAB fonts for view the webpages. But you have to folow
the second question's answer.

(4) Can TVU Tamil pages be viewed on the Unix operating system or Macintosh?
Yes! Procedure for installing the font is there in download section.

(5) Is the site developed by dynamic Tamil fonts?
No.

(6) How can I read Tamil mail?
To read mails sent in Tamil you need to make some
changes in the browser (IE) for Windows. Kindly follow the steps
Step 1: Go to Tools Menu
Step 2: Select Internet Options...
Step 3: Under General Tab you will find "Accessibility..." button
     click on it You will be prompted with a small popup window
Step 4: Under the heading Formatting check the 2nd option
     Ignore font styles specified on web pages
Step 5: click OK
Step 6: Click on Fonts button under General tab
Step 7: Select Language Script as Latin based
Step 8: Set the web page font: to Latha
Step 9: Select Language Script as User Defined
Step 10: Set the web page font: to Latha
Step 11: Click OK to close the fonts popup window
Step 12: Click Ok to close the Internet Options window

After completing this process, you can read mails sent in tamil.

If you would like to change the font settings, follow Steps 1-7
and in step 8 change to font to the one you want.

(7) How can I write a mail in Tamil?
To write mails in Tamil you need to make some

After completing this process, you can write mails in tamil. Use Tamil Keyboard Driver
for typing Tamil which is available in the download section. Manual is also
available in the Keyman.zip

If you would like to change the font settings, follow Steps 1-7
and in step 8 change to font to the one you want.
