Economic and social inequality
among humans made Bharathi angry with the society. He dreamt of a society -
where one would never see one's food being grabbed by another; where one would
not come across a person indifferent to the suffering of another. Bharathi's
works abound with emotional proclamations giving clarion calls for an
egalitarian society. This section provides illustrations of such instances from
his poems and prose-pieces.
