Grammar237

Writing on the last three chapters, Pope says, “These three chapters form a kind of appendix into which much has been thrown that belongs properly to the other great division of Akapporuḷ.”353 This Pope has judged correctly.

Under each chapter, he has listed the total number of Puṟanāṉūṟu lyrics which fall within it. For example, Under chapter 3, Pope says “In Puṟanāṉūṟu 12 lyrics refer to this chapter.”

To sum up, we may quote from Pope, who says “this is to us” (foreigners), “a novel form of the language of flowers.”354 And this novel form by his clever translation has reached the western world.
