The almost insurmountable barriers which were overcome in the course of compiling and printing reflect the indefatigable courage and indomitable spirit of the European scholars. Winslow has correctly summed up thus: “There is no need of mentioning the difficulties met with, in preparing such a work; because those who have had any experience will readily appreciate them and those who have not, cannot understand them, when told.”40
