Approved Fee Structure
1. Auditing
Fee for auditing one Block of 6 lessons for a period of 6 months - US$ 2.50
2. Students (Library Membership is free for students)
2.1 Certificate Course (offered at 3 levels)
2.1.1 . Fee for each level (Basic level including kinder garden lessons, or Intermediate level or Advanced level ) for a period of one year - US$ 10
2.1.2 . Fee for all the three levels, if enrolled together, for a period of 18 months - US$ 25
2.2. Diploma/Higher Diploma/Degree Courses
Degree Programme includes, three parts, namely Part I, Part II and Part III. Part I covers courses on mother tongue; Part II covers courses on Foreign language. Part III covers courses on Tamil major subjects. Diploma and Higher Diploma courses are integral parts of Part III of the Degree Programme
2.2.1. Part I of the Degree Programme
This refers to a course on the mother tongue (may be English / French/Germany/Tamil/...) of the student. If he/she is already qualified at Graduate level in any recognized university in the world, the student will be exempted from Part I. If not, 4 papers on Tamil Studies (equivalent to Part I of the B.A. degree programme offered in Tamil Nadu), offered by TVU, should be completed to qualify for the Degree.
Fee for Part I of the degree programme, 4 papers offered by TVU for a period of one year (only when the student is not exempted from Part I examination) US$ 25
2.2.2 . Part II of the Degree Programme
This refers to a course on any foreign language other than the mother tongue of the student. If he/she is already qualified at Graduate level in any recognized university in the world, the student will be exempted from Part I. If not, 4 papers on Special Studies in Tamil, offered by TVU, should be completed to qualify for the Degree.
Fee for Part II of the degree programme, 4 papers, offered by TVU for a period of one year. (Only when the student is not exempted from Part II examination) US$25
2.2.3 . Part III of the Degree programme
This course contains 21 papers, each paper constituting 4 blocks and each block having 6 lessons. Thus, there are 504 lessons under Part III. One has to complete all the 21 papers under part III to qualify for the Degree. However, when he/she completes the 4 specified papers from among the 21 papers of part III, he/she qualifies for Diploma. If he/she completes another 8 specified papers out of 21 papers of Part III, he/she qualifies to receive Higher Diploma.
(i) Fee for one paper of 4 Blocks (24 lessons) for a period of 6 months (any one of the 21 papers of Part III) - US$ 10
(ii) Fee for the Diploma Course as a whole ( 4 papers = 16 Blocks = 96 Lessons) for a period of one year - US$ 35
(iii) Fee for the additional 8 specified papers from part III to qualify for Higher Diploma (after completing the 4 papers under Diploma course), for a period of two years - US$ 70
(iv) Fee for the Higher Diploma Course as a whole (enrollment for all the specified 12 papers from Part III together) for a period of three years - US$ 100
(v) Fee for the additional 9 papers to qualify for the part III of the Degree programme (after completing the Higher Diploma Course) for a period of two and a half years - US$ 75
(vi) Fee for Part III of the Degree programme as a whole (21 papers = 84 Blocks =504 lessons) for a period of 5 years - US$ 160
2.2.4 Fee for the Degree Programme as a whole .
For all parts I, II, & III for a period of 6 years, if parts I & II are not exempted 		- US$ 200
3 . Examination fee per paper - US$ 2
4 . Library Membership
4.1 . Annual Membership fee - US$ 50
4.2 . Life Membership fee To be announced later
Note : For Candidates from countries other than US, UK, Canada and Australia
50% discount in the fees is allowed.
