This
section identifies the advaitic philosophy as the base for Bharathi's
Universal concern. The suffering of any individual, wherever the individual
might be, was a cause of concern for him. The philosophy of Advaita, which sees
one and the same spirit pervading in every living being, paved the way for
Bharathi to see the sufferings of fellow humans as his own. Hindus, Christians
and Muslims and people of different castes and regions - were all basically
human beings and as such the sufferings, whosoever experiences, need to be
tended to and alleviated. This approach of Bharathi, is explained in this section
