This section presents a picture of the responsible parents of the head of a household. The lengthy list of articles brought home by the parents, on return from a tour, brings before us a typical scene of a middle class Tamil family in a rural / semi-urban surrounding. The monotony that any long list is likely to cause is relieved by the poet's sense of humour!
