‘அமைதி’ is an innovative experiment with play-writing. It is a ‘dumb-show’ and has no dialogue whatsoever. The message gets communicated to the audience by the body-language of the players. The protagonist of the play is named ironically as மண்ணாங்கட்டி, meaning, literally ‘a clod of earth’ and figuratively ‘a useless fellow’; but contrary to the name he is presented as one who is helpful to everyone else.
