That is
how we got Sentamil Kanchi published in 1938.
When the agitation was at its peak, the united force of Tamil scholars
and politicians contributed to the success of the struggle.
Maraimalaiadigal
and Pavanar were the enthusiastic forerunners in the Anti-Hindi Agitation.
Pavanar wanted to bring out these facts to the entire India. Is
Hindi the Logical solution of India and the Language problem of Tamilnadu
and its logical solution are the outcome of his quest for the solution
to the language problem.
He
strongly believed that all the facts about the Tamils, Tamil language
and the rich literature should be spread throughout the world only in
English. That is why he was all praise for the unbiased historical research
work done by P.T. Srinivasa Iyengar and V.R.Ramachandra Dikshidhar. It
is time to bear in mind that so many truths about Tamil language and Tamil
culture have not reached researchers the world over even in this 21st
century. Pavanar has showed a way in this line through his books in English.
Pavanar's
entire works have been nationalised. Thiru. G. Ilavazhagan has brought
out all the works of Pavanar during his centenary celebrations. As far
as I know, none other than our Ilavazhagan has done such a great service
in the history of publication of Pavanar's books. I feel extremely happy
and I have no hestitation to hold that with " a strong will to strive
and not to yield" he has successfully carried out the publication work.
We
are the followers of Pavanar and we are implementing the ideals of Pavanar
in all walks of life. In the history of Pavanar our names might figure
here and there. But the last page of the history of the Pavanar should
be allotted only to Thiru. G. Ilavazhagan for his sincere attempt in bringing
out all the books of Pavanar at one stroke. And I place on record my appreciation
for the contribution of Pulavar A.Nakkeeran, a devout Tamil scholar, as
the editor of Pavanar's works published by Tamilman Pathipagam.
