what the Rāmāyaṇam was to other Hindu religionists....... Pursuing his imitation of Kampaṉ to wonderful extreme, Beschi gives us in his poem, The Song Of The Rice Reapers In Palestine.........”. The remarkable way in which Beschi has attempted to imitate the Kampa Rāmāyaṇam is bound to attract notice.⁶²

In the Tēmpāvaṇi, the most important contribution perhaps of Beschi to Tamil has been that the notions of his own inheritance and those of his land of toil, synchronise beautifully. Apart from critical analysis, something of a definite substantial creative contribution came from Beschi in the form of his Tēmpāvaṇi which was pioneering work in its own line. His mastermind drew liberally from all sources and he added to each his own individual touch, synthesising all of them to form his masterpiece, Tēmpāvaṇi.
