     Vowel-changes

      Any vowel may change into any other vowel through the medium of another vowel, if not directly. But, the more common vowel-changes are the following:

a-e:

(šakku)-s)ekku, oil-press.
(va-dai)-ve-dai, hibiscus esculentus.

i-u:
e.g.

u-a:
