New Software In Tamil
Developed
Four computer software
in Tamil, were developed as per the specifications and standardisation
announced by the State Government on June 13, were presented
to Chief Minister M.Karunanidhi at the Secretariat , after a
demonstration programme.
Welcoming the new software,
the Chief Minister told that this will encourage the Government's
efforts to develop Tamil computer software. He said efforts are
already on to introduce Tamil computers in selected Government
Offices in Tiruvarur district. In due course, it will be extended
to other districts also, he said.

A.Ilangovan, president of
the Kanithamizh Sangam, said the two software developed by the
association in monolingual and billingual fonts will be loaded
into the internet, free of cost, for the personal use of Tamils
all over the world,and for educational purposes.
Education Minister K.Anbazhagan,
former Union Minister Murasoli Maran
and Chief Secretary A.P.Muthusamy were present.
