Bharathi’s love for Tamil and the Tamil Land was no less - his poem ‘செந்தமிழ் நாடு’ sings the glories of the Tamil Land, its natural wealth, valour, literature, trade and its global fame. Yet he makes the order of concern very clear when he says, "வாழிய செந்தமிழ்! வாழ்க நற்றமிழர்! வாழிய பாரத மணித்திருநாடு!" - Tamil, the Tamil race and the Bharat (India) occuring in a sequence of greeting.
