Bharathi has written poems on a number of female Deities of the Hindu religion. He has written more than 28 poems on Goddess உடி•உடிவுஉடிஞுஉடிழு, addressed differently as உடிெஉடிகுஉடிவுஉடிšஉடி•உடீஉடிிஉடிழு, உடிšஉடிழுஉடிணுஉடிšஉடி•உடீஉடிிஉடிழு, உடி•உடீ‹உடிடிஉடிிஉடிழு, உடிடிஉடீஉடிிஉடீஉடிிஉடீஉடிடிஉடிவுஉடிகுஉடிழு etc. He sees in உடிெஉடிகுஉடிவுஉடிšஉடி•உடீஉடிிஉடிழுall forms of Nature and divine entities. உடி•உடிசுஉடீˆஉடிடிஉடி•உடிஞுஉடீ, the Goddess of Learning and உடிிஉடிழுஉடிகுஉடீஉடிடிஉடி•உடிஞுஉடீ, the Goddess of Wealth are also sung about by Bharathi. The real worship of the Goddess of Learning, he says, is in setting up schools in every town, village and streets and in setting afire villages that have no school in them! Bharathi seeks the blessings of the goddess of wealth, so that he can rid the world of poverty!
