Devaneya Pavanar - what a lovely and charming name! It is not a name of a single man or rather a prominent figure only. It is a name to be remembered in this century for it represents a school of thought.

Here in Tamilnadu, so many persons are writing and publishing articles without any aim in life or any message to the public. But Pavanar was a researcher with a glorious aim in life.

First of all, his conclusion about the Lemurian Land is a notable one. "Lemurian land is the cradle of mankind" says the foreign researcher Haeckel. In addition Pavanar comes to a conclusion that Lemurian land is the birthplace of the Tamils, the original race in India.

The submerged continent may be proved on this line. Pavanar in his Preface to 'Oppiyan Mozhinool' establishes this fact in more than eighty pages. This fact has been elaborated in this work. The second one is that Tamil is one among the classical languages. He has asserted Tamil is the Primary Classical Language of the World. The book 'The Primary Classical Language of the World, established this fact. Maxmuller, a famous Philologist of the western world opines: "All the languages of the world might have come from one origin only".
