A brief biography of ஞானசம்பந்தர் is presented in this section. The most significant event of his life was the one where சம்பந்தர். originally called பிள்ளையார், came to be endowed with divine knowledge. after being fed milk by Goddess பார்வதி, சம்பந்தர் who was only three years old sang his first thevaram song தோடுடைய செவியன் which is presented in audio form.
Stories of the miracles that சம்பந்தர் performed, particularly his curing பாண்டிய மன்னன் நெடுமாறன் of a terrible disease, are recounted. Sambandar’s prodigious output of 16,000 பதிகங்கள் which earned him the title இசைஞானி or musical genius is touched upon.
