Can there be a more plausible way of reflecting the yearning of a sweetheart to meet her lover? The Tamil women are supposed to exercise restraint on their emotions. Hence she cleverly attributes the yearning to her eyes and she also makes it known that her heart is pre-occupied with the image and thoughts of her lover.
