A பரத நாட்டியம் recital comprises certain types of dance compositions or items. They are அலாரிப்பு, ஜதிசுரம், சப்தம், வர்ணம், பதம், தில்லானா, விருத்தம் and மங்களம். Each item has a name, unique features and an assigned place in the order of performance in a recital. The sub-sections provide information on this.
