What is ‘Tamil music’? Does a language have anything to do with music? When Bharathidasan talks about ‘Tamil music’, he means songs written in Tamil which can be set to music and sung. He expects in those songs simplicity in language and in thought. Ofcourse, these songs, should serve in cleansing the society of its evils of discrimination and oppression.
