This lesson talks about Bharathis' views on Tamil language, Tamil culture and the Tamil race. Bharathi was proud of his language and his race. Yet he was aware that basking in the glory and grandeur of the past alone couldn't help the language and the race survive for long. He urges that constructive contributions to the enrichment of the language be made continuously so as to enable the language to meet the emerging demands of language use.
