The inscriptions on stones recording the significant orders, wars, administrative procedures and characteristic features of kings are known by the name மெய்கீர்த்திகள். These records help us in understanding the Tamil culture of the period concerned. The மெய்கீர்த்தி about Rajadirajan, S/o Rajendiran I, speaks of him as a great king and attributes to him the qualities of valour and sacrifice.
