    P10414 Jeevagasinthamani - Jugglery of Vimalai

        The eighth section of Jeevagasinthamani, one of the five great epics of Tamil is dealt with in this lesson. Titled Vimalayaar Ilampakam, this section highlights Vijayai’s maternal love for Jeevagan. Her son’s good governance following ethical principles after defeating his enemy Kattiankaaran is appreciated by her. How the heroine Vimalai married Jeevagan and her mastery in jugglery is also explained. The nuances of astrology and the importance of dreams are vividly described in this lesson. The reasons for naming the work as Jeevagasinthamani and its structure and greatness are mentioned. The pride and speciality of the author are exhibited in this lesson.

        The four core units of the lesson state all about Jeevagasinthamani, Vimalaiyar Ilampakam, events relating to Vijayai and Vimalai and the literary greatness of this work. In the first unit all introductory information about Jeevagasinthamani is given.

        The second unit contains the story of Jeevagan and Vijayai in a nutshell.

        The third unit lists the events described in Vimalaiyar Ilampakam. The principles, good governance and victorious life. The meeting of Jeevagan and Vimalai on the streets of Raajamaapura Nagar in Emaankatha Nadu are narrated. In the next part of the unit, you are given an opportunity to watch the jugglery played by Vimalai. This unit ends with the marriage of Jeevagan and Vimalai.

        The fourth unit brings out the literary aspects like description of nature in Emaankatha Nadu.

        On learning this lesson you will have a good knowledge of this great epic.
